Veterans have a 50% higher risk of suicide compared to civilians who have never served.

Since 2001, more than 114,000 veterans have died by suicide. 22 is a commonly known number among veterans as the number of veteran suicides per day.

By 2030, Veteran Suicide will account for more than $221 Billion in public costs.

Traumatic brain injury and PTSD are major issues among Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.

As of 20108, 7 % of the American adult population have served in the United States Armed Forces.

In 2019, the VA provided care to 96,519 veterans with amputation, and about half had at least 1 major limb amputation.
